About Us

Cheat Sheets is designed by Joni Griffith and Tyssen Design.

I have been doing agility with my Keeshonds and Shetland Sheepdogs since 2005 and competing since 2007 and have hundreds of agility titles with them all.

Below are all of my agility team members:

Jada

Jada

2005 - 2019

C-ATE, C-ATCH5, CS-ATCH13 Spirit's Ready For Prime Time ExST, ExJU, ExCL, ExSN, ExFH, ExWC, ExJP, C-20, C-15, L5-PLT, ChST, ChJU, ChCL, ChWC, ChJP, ChFH, ChSN, SpChST, SpChJP, SpChFH, SpChWC, SpChJU, SpChSN, SpChCL, AXJ, AX , NF

Dam: Lucy (Am Can Intl UKC CH Trumpet's Spirit in the Sky Esprit, HOF)
Sire: Andy (Am Can CH Foxfair Excalibur, BISSW, BISS)

My first agility dog was my Keeshond, Jada, who retired in late 2018 with over 70 CPE and AKC agility titles, including 18 C-ATCH titles and a C-ATE title.

Jada was the most fun dog I've ever run agility with. I truly think she could read my mind out there. She was perfect and loved agility so incredibly much. I don't think I would have loved agility so much if I hadn't experienced it with her. I lost her in 2019 to a brain tumor at age 14 1/2. She will ALWAYS be missed and has set an incredibly high bar for any dog that follows her.

She was ranked several times in the CPE Top Ten
2015: Ranked #10 Specialist in the country
2016: Ranked #4 Specialist in the country
2017: Ranked #2 Specialist in the country

She attended two National Agility Trials with great results
2013: High in Trial Standard Level C
2016: Reserve High in Trial Standard
2016: 1st Place in Specialist Games

She has more CS-CATCH's then any other Keeshond that has competed in CPE (CS-ATCH13)
She has the second highest number of C-ATCH titles (5). My Tyssen has the most of any Keeshond (9)

She was only the second Keeshond to get a C-ATE and is only one of six Keeshonds to have achieved a C-ATE title.

Tyssen

Tyssen

2007 - 2019

C-ATCH9 CS-ATCH5 AKC/UKC CH Spirit's Light My Fire, ChST, ChFH, ChWC, ChJP, ChJU, ChSN, ChCL, SpChST, SpChJP, SpChFH, SpChWC, SpChJU, SpChSN, SpChCL, C-10, L5-PLT

Dam: Lucy (Am Can Intl UKC CH Trumpet's Spirit in the Sky Esprit, HOF)
Sire: Bounce (CH Trumpet's Jumpin' Jack Flash)

Tyssen was co-owned by his breeder, Judy Thompson. Together they quickly finished Tyssen's AKC championship and Tyssen moved onto the world of agility trials. He has more C-ATCH titles than any other Keeshond in CPE (9). He truly loved running agility and ran with his whole heart. He was an amazingly powerful jumper even though those pesky jumps were in the way of doing what he truly loved - his tunnels and contacts.

Life with Tyssen was always fun and interesting with his quirky little personality. He literally made me laugh every single day I had him. He was a very talkative fellow and always had everyone laughing at his "rum-rums". There will never be another dog like Tyssen. I will miss him more than I ever could have imagined.

I lost Tyssen a couple of months before his 12th birthday to hemangiosarcoma and 4 1/2 months before losing Jada in 2019.

Reuben

Reuben

2009 - 2021

C-ATCH14 CS-ATCH5 Reuben ChST, ChFH, ChWC, ChJP, ChJU, ChSN, ChCL, SpChST, SpChJP, SpChFH, SpChWC, SpChJU, SpChSN, SpChCL, C-15, L5-PLT

Reuben was a very quiet and sweet boy who loved running agility. He hated making mistakes and would shut down if he thought he did - so it was a lifelong goal to keep him running with confidence. I always told him how good he was during our runs and loved watching him puff up with pride and put his whole heart into his run. He always pranced off the course being so happy in the great job he had done.

I lost Reuben tragically at age 11 1/2 in the middle of running through the weaves - in what would be his last agility run - of a massive cardiac arrest. The only good in this is that he went quickly and painlessly - and doing something he loved.

He will be missed and is gone way way too young.

Levi

Levi

2017 -

I was only supposed to "co-own" Levi, but he ended up coming to live with me full-time in 2019, where he could safely let all of that crazy energy out.

This little rocket is the dog that has forced me to re-learn all of the handling I've ever done before since he's an extremely crazy high-drive Sheltie! But it's been great fun so far! I can truly appreciate all of those who run Border Collies now!

Levi is a handful, but he's the sweetest dog I've ever been around. Looking forward to many more years of fun with him!

Seger

Seger

2019 -

Seger is the most enthusiastically HAPPIEST dog I've ever had in my life! He came at the right time after losing Jada and Tyssen and made that horrible time much more bearable.

He missed a lot of agility training as a puppy when the world shut down in 2020 and some personal family issues and it's been a unique and fun experience training an adult brain instead of a puppy brain! He's as fast as Levi, but since he's fully aware that he's not a "high-drive herding dog" it's much more familiar ground for me to train him! I'm looking forward so much to the trip we're beginning as he has just started trialing in early 2022!

In the end...the titles and achievements are meaningless.....they're just boxes to be
checked off and ribbons, plaques and bars collected as we competed.
The most important part of this journey has been the memories and the sheer fun of it.
